Looking for a 1240 in the next month or two

Within the next month or two, I'll be looking for an 040 card for a 1200 still in it's wedge case.

Ideally I am looking for something under 300 dollars, if possible.

So...if you have a card you're sitting on, and would consider parting with in the next month or two, I'd love to hear from you.


If it makes any difference, the card wouldn't sit in a collection but be used day to day I am looking to push more computer tasks to the old girl, and I figure a speed boost would definately help there.

Of course, I'd love an 060, but they seem to be quite a bit more money, when they do show up.

Best of luck with your search.   If you do get a 1240, try and get one that can be upgrade to a 1260 at a later date (eg that it has MACH 131 chips).

Also don't buy a Apollo 1240 with both SIM sockets fitted as you'll never get it to fit in your desktop case.
