A600GS & A1200NG / Re: Issue with my Amigakit Order
« Last post by F0LLETT on May 28, 2026, 01:33:33 PM »That is a really good question, how long does it take to make a board?
How many components?
Each has to be placed on the board...
Yes, it is manual labor, however, "many hours?"
Agreed, I am not a professional, I have done boards before, it was zip, zap, done.
Roll out some flux and bake, boom!
Each board takes, how long?
From the customer's point of view, some insigt would be nice.
Unknown to us is the hard labor behind all the work you do.
Let's say, 2 hours to make a board, well, that's 8 boards per worker a day.
Lastly, do you have the proper equipment to make these boards?
Originally I thought, a few hours, the most.
For the record, I am not a pro.
So in the end, how labor intense is this?
How are you testing the the boards, x-ray?
In any case, it is not an easy job.
Truth be told, I just don't know enough about it.
You do know your rehashing what I basically said. Its still the chicken the egg situation. If we re making 8 boards a day as you say.
Who is making GS's, Store orders, answering emails, answering phone calls, etc etc.
Im the only technical person here, I do all the soldering, smd etc etc work. I do not have a team of 5 or more to shoulder the load.
Yet Amazon service is expected. I also see ArmChair soldering, spare time traders, constantly taking a pop. Easy when all you do is supply 1 or 2 products to others. Hell if that was case, be no problem.
I ordered an A1200NG board September 2025. My order is still not processed. I wrote several times to support now. Last time a few days ago I never received a response.
Sad to see that other people, who order way later have received their boards in the meantime. It is overall a very frustrating experience. And, I do understand that there is a waiting time. But this is 9 months now without a response.
Pm me your order number. So I can look into it.
