No, it's only one chip. As stated somewhere else, the A1200 ROM will not search for extensions ROMs for CD32, so those extra modules you would add cannot be found and therefore are of no use, sadly. One has to do a little bit more to create a CD32 ROM.

The problem with this 'drive definitions' database is that sometimes the installdisk where the hdtoolbox is on is rather full and the user gets weird error messages about 'disk full' when reading new drives with it.

Icons are seperate files that provide a picture and sometimes additional informations. So if you want to use them, you copy or drag'n'drop them to the place you want.
If you have a program called MyTool then there is probably a file MyTool.info at the very same place. That MyTool.info file is the icon. Note that you cannot see the .info extension on the Workbench as it is hidden. If you have another nice looking icon you can normally just drop it into the same place as the old one. But:
The old one might have extra settings stored in the tooltypes which you can access from the information menu. You need to keep those or remember them, as the new icon might have different ones or none at all. There are special tools to swap only the image of icons.
Also important is, that you can use an icon with a different name and just rename it to your needs, but you must not mixup the different types, e.g. don't use a tools icon for a drawer.
All that is a little bit harder to do with Workbench, you might be better off using a file manager, like Directory Opus or DosControl.
Also, you must never put icons to programs that had none in the first place, as they are not intend to run from workbench. But it's fine for drawers.

Is the delay caused by the ongoing need to update FAQs, news etc. on Hyperion-Entertainment.com in the background?
When i browse to their Website i often get a 'different' front page displayed, sometimes with 'downloads' or 'FAQ' tabs open on the left side...
 ???

@ Thomas
As the update requires a proper 3.1.4 installation and the disk itself doesn't boot, why is the installer on that disk needed, and therefore also the compression of the most files?
Did the "old" installer not meet the requirements?

Doesn't make sense. It is lot less work on your part if you just drop a few lines here instead of studying the whole buglist and then drop the very same text.

Does 3.1.4 do anything in particular for an A2000?

Please note that the new 3.1.4 requires a little more resources than the older 3.1 due to recent improvements. So with an unexpanded A2000 it is not that good choice.

Have a look at the CD0 file with a texteditor. There should be a line like Filesystem = L:CDFileSystem.

Make sure, you have that in Sys:L/.

Also, look in the Tooltype of CD0, if it says
Activate=1, without enclosing brackets ().

Last, see in Workbench preferences, if your CD0 device is marked as hidden.

You could try AmiCDFS, but imho CDFileSystem is included, even from 3.1 if i recall correctly.

Using zero as unit is unusual, try 1 or 2. could be a bug.
Of course you have to change the ID on the drive as well.

What CDs are you trying? Burned or original? Amiga CDs? Audio?

Did you had a look into Workbench preferences?
