Hello from Wales
« on: August 10, 2023, 12:19:21 AM »
54 year old adolescent here from Wales. Currently being tested for dementia and Parkinsons and under instructions from my doctor to keep my brain active so I've pulled out my (very) old Amiga 1200 with the hope of rebuilding it and getting it to play my old favourite games on the fancy screens my son has installed for me (with the relevant hardware of course).

Anyway, thanks for accepting me and apologies in advance for picking your brains on all things Amiga. If my grammar gets a bit bad or I ask the same question more than once, that'll be my faulty brain so please bare with me.

Welcome to the forum, and it's great that you've got your Amiga up and running to help with this, and clearly have a supportive son.

A1200 in DIY Tower. 3.2 ROMs (softkicking 3.2.2), OS 3.2.2 with ClassicWB, CF card, CD RW and IDE to SD adapter running off the internal IDE port (using the A4000 4-port IDE adapter from Amigakit), Pistorm 32 lite with Pi4/2GB/Emu68 or Blizzard 1230-IV, with 32MB 60ns RAM and 50MHz 68882 FPU. 3COM PCMCIA Network card running with Miami DX.

I've been trying to get into Season 5 of Warzone on the Series X my wife bought me but I'm getting fragged within minutes lol. Highest ranked finish on Resurgence Solos was 7th with one single kill. Very poor.
