Announcements and Press Releases / AmiGameJam 2024!
« Last post by Cammy on June 01, 2024, 04:16:46 PM »
Hi everyone! I'm very excited to announce that this year's AmiGameJam has just begun! The theme for this year's contest is "The Sequel That Never Was", where you choose an Amiga game that you wish there was a sequel for and make it happen yourself!

Entries should be submitted to the jam by the 1st of December, giving you six months starting now. There are two categories for you to submit your game in - Classic OCS/AGA and Next-Gen (Vampire, RTG, Aros, MorphOS, AmigaOS). Please remember to keep your game within the contest rules and make sure it runs on an Amiga.

Stay tuned for further updates regarding prizes, judges and more! More information can be found at the AmiGameJam page - https://itch.io/jam/amigamejam

Amiga Hardware Issues and discussion / Re: add floppy on A2000 ?

have a look here:

https://forum.amiga.org/index.php?topic=48305.msg514579#msg514579

You'd need a proper floppy disk cable with a twist. Do not use any type you seem to find, it has to be an Amiga specific one, like this:
https://amigakit.amiga.store/a2000-a4000-dual-floppy-drive-cable-60cm-length-p-647.html
It is far too long, but you can try and get one from another dealer instead.

I have an A2K with a Flickerfixer in the video slot and a PII card I'm pulling out of mothballs, and want to use it on a modern display.

I found an answer of sorts in an old thread, but I have the same issue.  The problem is the OP in the other post didn't share with us their solution, as in did they use a cable, converter, or combination to make the connection?  Was it homemade or branded/kit form items used?

I'll take any input on the subject, especially if it is an example of a known working real-world installation.

I also have an A1200 I would like to hook up using HDMI, but that connection seems to have been covered by many others.

Thanks!

I know this is an old thread, but I have the same issue.

OP, could you share with us your solution, including the cable/converter combination you used to make the connection?

Just to be safe, I'll make another post of my own.  Thanks!

Thanks for your kind words. There are no plans to restart development of Total Chaos at this time. There is not a website that I'm aware of.

I'm still playing TC every single day since I found it on aminet (98), I just wanted to share my appreciation, I'm still sad about ChaosLord..
Is there any plan about TC? A new homepage, a new version? A page dedicated to James?

An overview of the recent uploads and changes to the download database of Amiga Future is also available from this link:

https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/dlext/latest

Of course we also want to be able to offer you many more full versions online, but to be able to achieve this, for you, we need your help, so ...

We are on the lookout for the Copyright holders for Amiga games and applications.
Do you know of any such person or can you actively help us in our search?
If so, then please contact us by email.

We are looking for extra support in order to revise the full versions download area of the Amiga Future webpage.
In particular, to check whether all those full versions formats (ADF, IPF, WHDLoad, AGA, CD releases, etc.) are complete.
In addition, a short description, in 2 sentences or less, about each of their system requirements and some screenshots need to be created.
If you want to help us, then please send us an email.
