Seem that the MCC page on Merlancia site is updated:
http://www.merlancia.com/mcc/ (http://www.merlancia.com/mcc/)
2 model 1 with x86 processor and 1 with ppc processor. the specs are very hign and modern...... but it will be true?
-
Hehe ill belive it when cows learn to fly.
-
Hmm, which OS do they plan to run on the AMD one?
AFAIK, there isn't any x86 version of AmigaOS, other than AROS, and that's hardly finished.
Last I heard they were going to use MorphOS, but I don't recall seeing an x86 version of that either.
So which is it? WinUAE? :P

It *is* a pretty one, though, I'd like to mod something into one of those :-)
-
yeAh!! put mos and aros on em ... that will really give merlancia a better option when it comes to vapor :)
i love merlancia , they are my sexual fantasy number 1..
yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmY..
/sarcastic mode OFF

Hey, selling AROS X86 machines could be a nice experience. I hope AROS gets finished soon and isn't bloated (haven't tried it yet).
-
Phooey- the 'Walker' case is sexier by far.
-
Im starting to believe that merlancia is just a childhood dream posted on a website in a professional manner, and however owns the webiste just hasnt actualy said that it is a childhood ream in text :)
Abotu which OS it may use, does it matter? It'll prolly run windows... the systems are called Amiga because as i know, merlancia owns the Amiga MCC designs :) So, i'd guess they can call them Amiga's as long as the MCC is followed by it :}
Maybe, im not aware of the licencing or under what conditions they bought the designs... But i doubt wer're going to see AmigaOS MorphOS or AROS running on these out-of-the-box ever!! :)
someone please surprise me?

Pah!
The Walker has to be the ugliest thing I ever saw :-D
I like some of the designs that Pentagram did, there are some sketches in the Image-o-matic, unless they were lost in the image massacre

(.) <---- grain of salt. :-D

@Jeffmix
I'm with you man.
-
It says available from September... I didnt think that there was an off the shelf Power PC chip set that supported all those features....
Better not be a pre-order thing... So many companies have stung so many people with pre-orders.
-
Ok Ok let me get just ONE thing straight.
The word SEXY. Sexy = Sexually atractive which means "i would like to have sex with you/it/her/him... whatever."
Women are sexy.
Computers aint!
Computers are selected from one of the following.
Cool , Nice, Crappy, Good, Sweet but most DEF not sexy.
Muhahahaha :-)
Kev ;-)

I'm going to buy one and place it next to my Boxer and my A/box...

After the embarrassing Walker design the MCC looked like a real gem. It just needs a bigger monitor and some digital read outs at front like CPU temp, CPU usage, time, amount of appz running etc etc :-)

Well yeah. You know what the Walker looked like to me? Ever play 'Demon Attack' on the Atari 2600? If you have you know what I'm talking about.
-
Hmm .. i don't think the walker design is that bad ...
Who wouldn't want darthvaders head sitting on your desk :-D

Torture Time (http://amiga.emugaming.com/walker.png) :-)
You may want to look here (http://amiga.emugaming.com/concept/walkerconcept.html) at some concept designs by another company known in Amiga circles :-D
So the world must not know, please :-)

Gotta be honest, dont really care what a comp looks like, internals more important. The case you can hide, the desktop you cannot :-)
-
Mooooooooooooo...........
:-D
At least you give them credit for trying... :-)
-
I was at the St. Louis show a couple of years back, all fake but was actual weight, no doubt! That fake monitor--you can actally kill someone's foot just by dropping it.
Heh, they're all filled with cement or something. :-D
-
despite what we all think of merlancia and the truths that has been revealed...etc... I do hope they come out with their system...I mean it can only help our community as a whole to have another solution... maybe it'll run MOS?... I dunno.. but it cant hurt... do I believe it will come out? highly doubtful... but if it does I will give thanks for it and give credit to them for bringing it here..

Ahh! But in the real world- 'You can run but you cannot hide!'

LOL
I like Walker Design, and i hope Merlancia came out with their products even if "Aiga" MCC runs MorphOS. Lets give them a chance.

Speaking of possibly Gaseous Hardware, has ANYONE a PiosOne, PowerAmiga (those 68k only), Cerebus (UK only), or NovemberBox?
and who recalls that PreBox (with its FOUR cpus) of 1998?
( What is it with all those Boxes? I want a globe (http://home.iprimus.com.au/vortexau/images/sputnik3.jpg) !) :-)
-
Wasn`t the Cerebus just a x86 box running Amiga stuff under emulation?
-
Hmm, wasn't the MCC said to be using the Pegasos? And the "September" availability suggests the Pegasos II motherboard (especially for the PowerPC 74XX version). So let's have a look at the specs (motherboard features highlighted):
Amiga MCC PowerPC System Specifications:
Standard Features:
All systems come with the following as standard:
PowerPC 74XX Series or PowerPC 970 Processor at 1Ghz or higher
256MB of RAM
DVD-ROM Slot Loading Drive
1 AGP Port (2x/4x/8x) :-o :-)
USB 2.0 Ports :-o :-) on Front and Back of Unit
3 PCI Sockets
Firewire (1EEE-1394a) Ports on front and back of unit
Ethernet (10/100baseT) port for networking  :boohoo: :pissed:
IrDA eye on front of unit for Infrared devices
S/PDIF Sound Jack for High Fidelity sound systems
Standard Microphone, Sound In, and Sound Out jacks
MIDI/Game Port
Serial and Parallel ports
120Gb ATA Hard Disk with 8MB Memory Buffer
Illuminated Slimline Keyboard
Wireless Optical Mouse
But I'll believe this when I see them for sale (or rather when I hear happy customers reporting about their purchase and recieving one of those).

Merwhooooo? :roflmao:
Delusion Of Grandure !
