I have tried the option of SLAVE rather than cable select. I have not tried Rich's option of switching hard drives yet. Will try that later.

Now its worse. When booting the MorphOS cd i get the MorphOS logo as normal and when it comes to that window where you select the language, keytype etc it looks terrible like the window is black and cant see the words or buttons.

Are you using a Rage128 Graphics card? It sounds like a familiar problem.

If so, then you could either get yourself a supported Radeon 7/8/9xxx card, or you could wait until Frank releases a patch for the Rage cards.
NB - buying a generic Radeon will require that you re-flash the card with Mac-compatible firmware (there are many good guides on how to do this). Alternatively, you could buy a (generally more expensive) Mac-flashed Radeon card.

Regards

Mac Mini G4 (1.5GHz, 64MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.6
Powerbook 5.8 (15", 1.67GHz, 128MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.8.

Windows-free since 2011-2014 (Damn you Netflix!)

This could suggest a memory issue or a problem with your cd drive or the cd itself.

I am trying the dual boot of the same drive again. The problem is that STUPID PDF guide i used said that there has to be a 60MB partition.

But then it shows a 64MB partition when installing MorphOS.

When i try and click on the partition to install (the 60MB) like it says in the guide i get a "Invalid partition Layout!" and some crap about the sector range.

This is dumb! I followed the instructions perfectly.

I was able to successfully install MorphOS and OS X on a G4. The problems I encountered were accidentally formatting the drives in HFS Extended instead of Standard. Once that was done properly, I was able to mount and format each drive accordingly and run the install. The only other issue I encountered was to make sure DH1 (not DH0/Boot) was bootable.

Would it not be possible (sensible) to boot into Ubuntu to get GRUB as a bootloader and then use that to select either Ubuntu, MorphOS or OS X?

Anyone do that? Thinking about getting a Mini

I am dual Booting OS X 10.5.8 and MorphOS-3.9 on the Mac mini on one HDD.
No Problem. Simply follow the Instalation-Guide.
