Title: Private Messages Not Flagged
Post by: JaXanim on February 15, 2004, 10:58:56 PM
I notice that you have to check for new messages rather than them being flagged as previously.

I think this is too time consuming. If I get any PM, I like to see the flag as I enter the site.

Cheers,

JaX

OK, no brackets, no new mail.

I preferred the old way.

Cheers,

Jax,

Give us a chance to figure this out.

Remember, that "feature" was actually something special that we had done at the source code level of the old site.  As stated, we will no longer change the core code of the site (beyond correcting "border='0'" issues) because it hinders us from ever moving to later versions (and avoiding security problems).

This means that what you're asking for has to be hand-written as a seperate "third party" module for the site.  For now, as the other person stated, it's outlined by the stock number of new mails in brackets.

We'll get there folks.  We'll get there.
