Amiga 600 Computer USA keyboard | ||

Description: This is a A600 computer that I bought from ebay. Sadly she arrived DOA and since it was sold "as is", I was SOL. I finally sent it off to Amiga Center in France and Jean fixed her in no time! I just upgraded her with a 3.1 ROM, 1MB Trapdoor card with RTC, and a 4.86GB IBM Travelstar laptop HD. Now she is a nice HD gaming machine! Notice the USA Keyboard with no extra blank keys, this is the first one I have seen, my other ones all have blank keys.

Homer Posts:1166 | January 12, 2008, 12:51:08 PM Yup, Travelstar eh ? I called mine DeathStars due to the grinding noise they made before they failed :-o Toshiba replacement drive nice and quiet. Thinks - Hmm, is this actually ON :lol: |
rkauer Posts:3263 | December 06, 2007, 10:07:30 PM I have an IBM Travelstar on mine A1200, works very well and is not noisy... BTW: this A600 is so white that I was think it was painted!:-o Shame about the lack of the extra keyboard caps! |

leirbag28 Posts:1793 | August 12, 2006, 04:37:10 PM Haha! Man! That TjLazer...............always gettin the Good Clean stuff hehe. I must see your Amiga collection One day! If an Amiga Museum were to open......you would be the First I would go to for Amiga Machine donations for display in the Museum hehe. P.S. The A600 was the first Amiga I bought from my own pocket in 1992.previously I had the A1000 which my brother handed down to me although it was probably both of ours........we got it in the 1980's..................................................... anyway..I personally never saw an A600 with a UK keyboard since I am in USA.......all the ones I saw including mine were USA Keyboard layout. I was mesmorized by the size.....and at the time so were my Super Nintendo owning friends :-) even they thought it was cool. |
