Subject of a pretty good movie Seven Years in Tibet based on a book he wrote about his life and one of the truly great climbers, Heinrich Harrer passed away today at age 93.  He was the last living member of the first group to conquer the legendary Nordwand (the North Face of the Eiger), to this day considered one of the most difficult climbs on the planet.
