Problem with new install on used hd I get to
The partition hd and the place the file system
After reboot it looks as if nothing happened
Or on another hd it can’t see it on boot up
Does anyone know thesetenv install script
Setenv diskboot 500000 etc or anybody on
Long Island able to format a couple of hds
For me thanks using pci parallel card for cd

Your post sounds quite poetic, but might I suggest a few adjustments?

Thank you it’s a pci paralleled card one to cd rom other to 2
HD’s set for master/slave .on boot up sees HD’s and boots from
Cdrom w amigaone 4.1!fe . Trying to use the HD’s or one at least
To reinstall new os . The install let’s me get up to editing the HD’s
As it sees the HD allows me to partition ok then says need to reset
To save settings after that it should let me format drive but when
I go to next step it only shows cd disk and ram it’s not saving settings
Or not mounting volume the HD

Thank you more answer than I can handle but
Does have. A pci parallels card and now am trying
IDE cd rom on both first boot up .you are right
The GUI for the boot args are surely flakely
But it is the HD’s not being recognized either
At startup .or I get to boot and edit partition
And reset and loses HD’s settings on os4.1fe.
The only format it lets me do is a scsi .also
Looking for anyone on Long Island to do a
Amiga format for me I think that is the main
Problem as it constantly says no slb thank you

Thanks but just in case I have found a scsi HD’s am card now I just need a
Cable also have a sata HD’s and cable but need pci card so what type
Of sii3112 is that the I’ll just use your settings right now it shows cd rom
Drive but no capacity on cd rom so not reading it and shows HD type and
Capacity weird for sure with the parallel pci it showed cd rom gig amount
On cd rom and disk in either event it is not mounting volume on both
Just at different points thanks tom ordered a 4 gig usb from Amiga on the lake
He formatted it so I think that will at least get me to boot from something other
Than the cd rom thanks tom

Ok so only on an Amiga now it booted from cd ,recognized hd and
Even let me install Amiga os 4.1 fe bootable and got me on
The internet.this is on a board ide primary.now I have no idea
Why or how but it did thanks for all your help I appreciate it tom
