If an AmigaOne/Pegasos user installs Linux, gains internet connectivity and runs Mac-on-Linux, could they then browse with IE running in MacOS?

I only ask because a friend will be getting an AmigaOne and there are some sites that unfortunately use special features of IE that don't seem to exist in good browsers.

Also, has anyone tried running VirtualPC in Mac-on-Linux?

I've heard that IE for the Mac is more capable than the Windows version, particularly with respect to standards compliancy...

I do think the original poster should have turned into a pillar of salt by now though :-)

@Mikeymike,
yeah, but you know how Microsoft is with standards, so that is not necessarily a pro :lol:

I've used IE on a 550MHz iMac and it's ok - but of course I never went back to it after I installed Mozilla on that computer.

Megacruft can stick as many proprietary features into IE as they like - but I'll never understand why people decide to use them in sites that are intended for access by the general public.

Note that IE = general public i.e ~90 percent of browser market...
