Hum,

@whabang,
if we were to let them join then that would prove that they existed:
And then we wouldn`t have to run seti on our machines, or have a seti thread about the amiga effort to find them...

Where`s the fun in that, huh?

are you kidding???
if aliens were found THAT would be just the reason to start communicating in a BIG way!
it would spur a fevered investigation like we've never seen!

people would be connecting their cel phones to talk to an alien! :lol:

the only people that would be upset would be the religious nuts.
the no CARB diet- no Cheney, Ashcroft, Rumsfeld or Bush.

The Word "nuts" is superfluous in that sentence.

@bloodline
hUM,
Very observant....it`s a bit like saying an orchestra of musicians,

(it should be a string of musicians...)
(or like a belt of teachers...)
(or a murder of crows)

(or a pod of aliens...)

Naah. There are sane religious, and they wouldn't be upset at all. But they'd be nonetheless be included in this sentence and that isn't fair.

true enough. i know a FEW sane people who icorporate spirituality into their lives and I personally am offended that bas.tards like Falwell take the term "religious" and act like it belongs to them.

it's really them who I am refering to. I mean, their version of "religious". we should invent a new name and let the good people take back the old term.

The title says it all... this would belong in the furniture section if amiga.org had one...

Happy birthday seti@home!

[From /. ]
     "Five years ago today, SETI@home launched a comprehensive program to search for Extra Terrestrial life in the universe, using millions of home computers to help compile useful data that could some day lead to the discovery of advanced extra terrestrial life. Since inception, SETI@home has found 2,568 persistent Gaussians, possible radio transmissions from a distant planet. SETI began in 1960 with the efforts of Cornell University astronomer Frank Drake, whose Project Ozma became the first modern SETI experiment in history."
[/From /. ]

Now where`s the drinks section? :pint:
