Hi!
« on: January 18, 2007, 01:49:51 PM »
Hi!

Let me introduce myself. My name's Mel and Im told, quite a rare specimen - namely a lady amigan :-) I got my first miggy when I was 12, an A500+ and had many happy days playing magic pockets....

Fast forward to the present. One of the guys where I work introduced me to this place yesterday. Somehow we got onto the subject of amigas when I was supposed to be finding out where the internal project notes are for the system he develops here. I have my suspicions hes too busy here to have written them ;-)

Of course now I can keep my eye out and see if thats true

I still have an A1200 with a Blizzard 1230 I got a few years ago but I havent unpacked it since moving. Having looked around here Im feeling nostalgic. I had no idea that there was still so much going on in the amiga world :-o

Well there goes my late lunch break. Be seeing you around!

- Mel

Hello!

A HUGE welcome to you! You're right, it's mostly guys here (and I'm one of them).

I hope you'll have a great time on Amiga.org. It's a superb site connecting Amiga hobbysts from all over the world. Helping each other and having a good nostalgia time in general.

So go on, unpack your Amiga, try it out again. Watch out when all your memories suddenly come back to you as you start to play these old games. It's great!

Welcome!

You should indeed unpack your miggy again and give it a go. Nothing beats a few hours of shooting/racing/RPGing/flying on an Amiga! :-)
(well, *almost* nothing, but since there are probably kids under 18 on this site I won't go into detail  :pint: )

Ill have to dig out that 1200. I havent even turned it on in nearly two years.

I heard that some systems can have problems with battery leaks. I dont remember the 1200 having a battery, or does it?
