Whatcha Playin' in DosBOX?

I'm starting this thread to see what you all have been playing in DosBOX (under AROS obviously).

I have 8 gigs+ of dos games leeched off various dos abandonware games sites.

I just don't have any time to play them.

That's the down side to being a collector. It becomes overwhelming at times, and it's hard to slow down and enjoy little gems that can be found in such collections, which was the original point of making my collection in the first place. After all these years, I'm finally getting the hang of it. I'm finally slowing down enough to fully experience a bit of what I have.
At this point, I'd say 30Tb plus of "stuff" is about enough these days, I'll never have the time to experience it all anyhow, though every now and then I find something else that I feel must be added! How ironic! :)

Tripitaka: Ya, me too! :)

Fish: Aghh, the curse of following developing Alt OS'.

Sometimes it sucks not being a developer in the coding sense, but alas I've got too many hobbies and such on the table right now.

When my faster machine is built, I'll have to play with that Video Record feature. I've got tons of unknown gems I'd love to share video of!

Sorry, it may appear Im being arguementative. It's not my intention, but Im a little confused here.

Ya, that's my job! Actually mine's just to cause strife amongst those who take trivial things too seriously, arguments I could care less for. :)

Os4 will run system friendly os3.x apps without the need for a form of uae. In fact in this regard its quite similar to amithlon (my fav. "amiga" system incidently) in that "only" system friendly 68k software will run without uae (even for amithlon). Granted amithlon/os3.x will run them much faster than a sam, but that doesnt elate the confusion  :)

Exactly! I discovered much the same thing when using MorphOS, many apps run, but those that hit the hardware directly, or were coded funky do not and require emulation...

...which is where Amithlon rules the day!!! I've no time to run an emulated Amiga environment on top of Windows, except maybe when setting up hard drives, but that's it!

On that note, I seriously hope that JIT gets ported over to the PPC incarnations of UAE, and I hope that some day UAE, gets the same kind of love, dedication, and attention that WinUAE gets...

The fact that Amiga users actually put more love into a Windows based Amiga emulator over all the non-Windows alternatives, just comes to me as a smack in the face. We grew up hating and loathing Microsoft...

...now a days everyone uses it without the slightest hint of shame...

Heh, and here I am talking about people who take trivial things too seriously. I guess in the grand scheme of things, even Amiga is trivial. ;)

Ironically my AROS machine is mostly just for playing with DOSbox. At least till Wanderer becomes more feature rich like Ambient.

Disney Studio and can not get SpaceQuest 1 to work.

Assuming ScummVM on AROS ever gets an update and bug fix, you'll be able to use it to play through Space Quest 1-5 as well as the VGA remake of part one whick removes the need to type.

Of course if you run MorphOS you can enjoy them all now.

...are you trying to run Disney Studio on DOS box? I thought that only released on Amiga?
