hehe  - good one

I used OS 7.5 on a '030/16 (mac se/30) at work and was quite happy with it, although I ran the same 7.5 on '030/25 amiga (amaxII) and man it was fast :-)

I ran 7.x for a very long time on this A3000UX, for ONE application:  MacOS has a DooM editor that is unrivaled on any platform!  And, (naturally) it runs much faster on an Amiga than it does on a real Mac.

Can you provide tips, or a step by step process you used to get 9.1 installed on your CSPPC/iFusion?  I bought it years ago, but have never installed it or bought MacOS for it.  I wanted to be sure I knew the right version to get.  No Mac ROMs needed anymore, right?
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

No Roms, just the CD. Don't remember exactly, but 9.0, 9.04 and 9.1 were working, 9.04 probably the fastest. The instructions were about enough, you had to make first a config to boot from the MAC CD, install it and then with a new config let the OS to boot - there's not a boot change/priority system. Picasso96 doesn't work right, there is a missing feature that makes the screen cut in two parts that are interchanged. I had no bigger problems, I gave an old UWSCSI HD without usually used partitions mostly to MAC to be on the safe side. Probably 1 GB, it took long enough to prepare.

You need a copy of Fusion or Shapeshifter, a Mac ROM, and a copy of Mac OS. Fusion and Shapeshifter are commercial, as is the Mac ROM, but you can get OS 7.5.3 (IIRC) free from Apple.

Here is a link to a guide on getting started. The guide starts off discussing configuration of Basilisk, but then goes on to how to install the OS itself within the emulation, and that's what you're interested in. There is a link to a "starter disk" image which will boot the emulator in to a minimal OS 7 installation, which will then allow you to install the full version of the OS. There is also a link to the download location on apple.com for OS7.
