For me, I bought my first Amiga, an A2000 with A2090 card to play Dungeon Master.  Yeah, I know this game was a port from the AtariST but the Amiga version was better, imho.  I liked it so much I then bought Chaos Strikes Back.  I never upgraded to an AGA machine until maybe 1998 and therefore never bought Dungeon MasterII, as it was reportedly AGA only.  Little did I know all these years later it'll actually run on any 68020+ ECS Amiga w/ 1Mb Chip and some fast ram.

I remember also getting hold of a Hired Guns demo in the early 1990s and thought it was awesome, though I never bought the full game.  It was Doom before that game took off on the PC.  Of course, it used the old dungeon master type interface, not the pseudo3d of doom.

Funny, but I never did like Captive, Knightmare or any of the Tony Crowther games.

My favorite PD game has to be either Deluxe Galaga or Scorched Tanks....great stuff.
