New Van Halen CD
« on: February 12, 2012, 02:46:17 PM »
Has anyone else had a chance to listen to the new Van Halen CD? I thought I wouldn't like it because D.L.R. had been kind fo coasting with his singing. I've seen videos of live shows where he sounded pitchy and off key. Frankly, he sucked. But I listened to a couple tracks and find that the studio version does sound like that "old" Van Halen I loved from Women and Children First and 1984.

And their first single off the CD, Tattoo, seems to have become an ear worm with me.

Have you heard it yet? Thoughts?

I picked it up (I wanted the CD insert), and it's actually pretty good.  It takes a few listens for it to really grow on you, but once it does--it's great.   The only track that I don't really like is "Bullethead"... it's just kind of annoying.   Glad I bought it though.
