love that film!
and it's much more entertaining!:roflmao:

Yep!  I absolutely love The Life of Brian.  IMHO it's the finest movie the Python team ever made.

How can anyone forget the empassioned speech (impediment LOL) courtesy of Pontius Pilate, in honour of his good friend in Rome....?

WOO! :-D
Let's hope the norwegian politicians won't try to stop the movie this time!

Surely they didn't try and ban it??? AFAIR the Irish banned it until the early 90s...

When a film like Pulp Fiction (for example) can be passed without a murmur, how can anyone justify stoping the release of The Life of Brain?

There was a big hullabaloo about it here aswell - although I think it was mainly due to Mary Whitehouse and her minions at the NVLA that caused it :pissed:

Ah, Mary Whitehouse!  She actually lived not far from my home town, and I used to drive past her home most mornings on my way into college.

I have no objection to people expressing their moral viewpoint on censorship, but I bitterly resent someone else telling me what I can and cannot see, especially when they clearly don't "get" the concepts of irony and self parody.

I hope as you were driving past you were having gratuitous sex, swearing and battering someone (all the same time) !!

I drove past swearing gratuitously a few times.  Having sex whilst driving my old VW Polo  - although technically feasible - would have been a very cramped, uncomfortable and unsafe arrangement.  :-D

I did hear stories from other students who'd claim to have left porn mags outside her house though!
