Title: Something new to play with.
Post by: on April 01, 2005, 02:33:53 AM
Here's something new to play with;

(For those paranoids amongst us, I'm not making any changes to AO, just opening up the playground for non-Amiga users as well.  One of many)

Just created a Test account to play with.  Worked without problems.  Are you sure you've activated your account via the e-mail sent to your address?

/me thinks you just need to realize it's not the same as Xoops.

Tested with my test account (as a normal user), no problems.  Are you sure it's not just the mandatory 60 second flood protection?

The problem is under the general discussion topic I started,

You cannot post new topics in this forum
You cannot reply to topics in this forum
You cannot edit your posts in this forum
You cannot delete your posts in this forum
You cannot vote in polls in this forum

Kinda limiting
      :-)

BUT It did log me in again!

I don't know what you're doing wrong, but that forum is set up identically to the others, and no one else seems to have such issues.

Just logged in as SegWayne (normal user)

I'm being logged out every time I go to the home page

The only way I can log in is through the email authorization, it complains I've already authorized, I click on Home page, I'm logged out?

cookie problem?

I had a slight problem just now after registering I had to log in then when I checked my profile it said I had to log in again...

Seems to be ok now though... I just went back to the home page which said I was logged in and it came up with the Logout link, then I could check my profile.

just went to the site now and it automatically loged me in (just like I indicated I should if I wanted that when I first logged in yesterday after being registered).

Opera tends to be very good about such things, tho.

I'm using Opera too.

After leaving it a while it still seems to be ok :-)

 :roflmao:

Add me to the "too dumb to fill out a form" list

filled out form, got verification number wrong,
go back, correct number, now the password is missing!
go back, fill in password, hit submit...

verification line blank again

Ok, go back, make sure no lines are blank, recheck to make sure nothing's been reblanked again, hit submit...

You have exceeded the number of registration attempts for this session. Please try again later.

Tomorrow I'll get it right I promise!  :-P

Oh yea, the verification code is case sensitive, just like it clearly states it is! :inquisitive:
