I have a motherboard SAM440ep 667 MHz (512 RAM) + Radeon9200SE graphics card.
So far, I did not have AOS4.1.
I bought one from the ACube!
AOS4.1 Update 1 CD.
I installed. It worked perfectly.
Hyperion's web site I downloaded all updates.
I installed the Update2. It worked perfectly!
I installed the Update3 ... the system is booted, but after opening a few windows Crashed. Freeze, no error message.
A startup has been before the crash Update4 the update to install.
It also crashes immediately after boot.
Perfectly clean install! Nothing is installed ...
It is interesting. Back to update2 copied from the Kickstart directory on the system boots, but does not work well ...
What is wrong?
A day of fun with it!

Have you setup the internet yet?
If so unplug your network cable and let me know if it still crashes...
Steve.

No setup internet ... simple OS install

I'm sorry but I don't really understand, did you try installing OS4.1.4 on top of 4.1.3?
-
When update3 not frozen out immediately (20-30 sec), then I installed the update4.
Another detail. If you take out the Radeon 9200 card, the M9, it works, no crash.
But unfortunately for me the onboard M9 bad. Bad colors show.
-
Odd stuff, I had no issues at all and recently did a full re-install from 4.1 to 4.1 u1, then u2, then u3, u4.
Bog standard SAM 440ep, onboard gfx with a 32 GB SATA SSD.

make certain you have the dual video card support files (http://www.acube-systems.biz/download/DualGraphicCardSetup.lha) from acube installed. :)

Someone who is in the SAM440ep 9200 or Radeon 9250 card, send me email in the content of the DEVS/MONITORS folder. Please! Please!
E-mail: dh1@amigaspirit.hu (dh1@amigaspirit.hu) or amigamania@amigaspirit.hu (amigamania@amigaspirit.hu)
Thanks!

To clarify things and to help the bug-tracing: What you are saying is that as long as the Radeon 9200 card is in the computer, OS4.1.0, 4.1.1, 4.1.2 works, but 4.1.3, 4.1.4 crashes?
And when you do take out the 9200 card, the M9 shows bad colors?

yes!

And when you do take out the 9200 card, the M9 shows bad colors?
NO!
Simply the wrong color.
The colors are bad Radeon card without!

yes!
And the latest...
U-boot firmware: http://www.acube-systems.biz/index.php?page=news&id=80
Acube support files: http://www.acube-systems.biz/download/DualGraphicCardSetup.lha
...are installed?
And It's a fresh install, all updates installed in the right order, newer versions on top of the older, installed on reformatted HDD's, etc, with nothing left from old installations? All fresh and new, nothing touched, installed in the right order?

exactly!

exactly!
this doesn't sound good; especially the issue with your M9. you need to contact acube (http://acube-systems.biz/index.php?page=contacts) directly for support. you should also post on the official support forums (http://forum.hyperion-entertainment.biz/) regarding anything that might have changed between update 2 and update 3 that could explain this on the software side.
posting here won't help much, unfortunately. try using the official support channels. :)

I'm also glad the content of a DEVS directory. :)
The problem is the monitor driver. That's for sure!

@dh1
Just to be clear, there is the original AmigaOS 4.1 CD supplied by Hyperion. This was installed on some systems before AmigaOS 4.1 Update 1 became available.
AmigaOS 4.1 Update 1 is an ISO image that replaces the original AmigaOS 4.1 install.
AmigaOS 4.1 Update 1 must be installed before you can install Update 2.
Update 2, Update 3 and Update 4 are updates only, but must be installed in order.
Download AmigaOS 4.1 Update 1, unarchive and burn ISO image to CD-R.
Cold boot system from your new AmigaOS 4.1 Update 1 CD-R disk.
Quick format your OS4 partition and install AmigaOS 4.1 Update 1.
Remove CD-R disk.
Cold boot system.
Download AmigaOS 4.1 Update 2, unarchive file and install Update 2.
Cold boot system.
Download AmigaOS 4.1 Update 3, unarchive file and install Update 3.
Cold boot system.
Download AmigaOS 4.1 Update 4, unarchive file and install Update 4.
Cold boot system.

The original SAM update1 OS4.1 disk is not the same as the downloadable version?
-
@dh1
Please note that under normal circumstances there should be only one monitor file defined in your Devs:Monitors drawer. In my case it is called Radeon 7000 and the Tool types show BOARDNAME=Radeon 7000.
In your case there may two files, one for the M9 and one for Radeon 9200.
The boardname for M9 should probably be BOARDNAME=Radeon M9 to show proper colours.

I will leave this one for the guys who have SAM systems.
My system is a MicroA1. We have the original AmigaOne AmigaOS 4.1 CD from Hyperion plus the downloadable version which was called Update 1. These two AmigaOne versions are very different. The AmigaOne AmigaOS 4.1 Update 1 replaces the original AmigaOne AmigaOS 4.1 CD.

The colors are wrong in the UBoot. Radeon M9 on mother!

@dh1
I found something in a thread about freezes on Update 3. Some had issues with the USB 2.0 driver that came with Update 3. Some had issues with their network connection.
To disable the USB 2.0 driver, edit Kickstart/Kicklayout file and comment out the following line as shown by adding ";" infront. In my Kicklayout file, it is the last line. Not sure about SAM.
original ...
MODULE Kickstart/ehci.usbhcd
new ...
;MODULE Kickstart/ehci.usbhcd

I got the error!
KICKSTART / rtg.library
Update3 new rtg.library to crash the system.
Update2 old rtg.library working fine!
I do not know what's wrong! Idea?
My Radeon 9200 SE not compatible with the Update3 and 4? Only compatible with Update1 and 2? :D
OMG!

Perhaps you could borrow a Radeon 9250 from someone to try?

Of course! I need someone, the only problem is that the only country (Hungary) I have SAM system! :) It will be difficult to find a PCI version ... and low profile :)

Contact ACube/Hyperion.
-
AmigaOS4 systems, the Radeon9200SE cards have 3D support?
I have all minigl-opengl and WARP3D programs and gives an empty window. The machine is very slow! :(
-
Bad colours could be due to your connector.
Are you using the dvi-vga converter?
If so, this might be a better bet.
