Title: my cd drive not working again?

Was working with 3.14 and stopped when 3.2 came out so had to use AtapiMagic from aminet as per OS3.2 FAQ and was working fine again. Now with OS3.2.2 I don't see my cd's yet again?


-made sure to copy over the lines needed in the S-S from 3.2.1
-didn't change anything else with any cables, settings etc.
-Showconfi showing CD drive as unit 2
- get no error messages at boot & when CD is inserted LED lights up like normal but nothing shows up on workench? If I go to DOpus and type cd2 it tells me 'no disk present in device cd2:'

I upgraded to 3.2.2 this morning and had no issues with my CD, so this isn't a universal bug.

What cd device do you have in sys:Devs/dosdrivers/? Just because the cd is unit 2, doesn't mean it's mounted as CD2:

When you say you copied over the lines in your startup-sequence, do you mean the loadmodule section for atapimagic?

using same device as before nothing has changed. I have tried changing to all unit numbers and nothing?


yes for AtapiMagic but i’m thinking perhaps I placed the lines for AtapiMagic in the wrong place? I’ll send over the S-S lines affected later when I’m in front of my Amiga

If nothing has changed, then it is hardware issue. Usual suspect would be PSU.

PSU working and tested fine this is a driver/ settings issue
