referring to the IFCC (http://www.ifccfbi.gov/) there must have been 3 times more criminals in the internet in 2002 than in 2001.

or that more people are using the internet for some form of online dealings, or that a few criminals have found a great way of ripping off many people, or more people are willing and able to complain to a government body about the fraud... it's a statistic, and as always we should be careful how we interpret it...
About all I read from it is that there is fraud and we should always be careful what we do with confidential information.
