Nostalgia, step 1 | ||

Description: I hit upon this crazy idea the other day about how it might be a laugh to make OS4.1 look a bit like OS3.1. So, I thought I'd give it a try. Obviously, I'll need to create some icons, by which time the interest in the whole idea will no doubt have evaporated, but I made a start. Using an old app called TypeFace, I was able to make a version of the topaz font that was double the height of the regular version, thus making it appear the "way I remember", rather than how it actually looks on a 1:1 screen aspect Picture Stats: Views: 2381 Filesize: 156.59kB Height: 768 Width: 1024 Posted by: Karlos at February 08, 2010, 08:59:39 PM Image Linking Codes

Karlos Posts:16867 | February 17, 2010, 11:14:00 PM At 1280x1024, but with an illusionary height of 512 due to the double-height font (and if I ever get the icons done), this could look very PAL Superhires laced... |
Karlos Posts:16867 | February 10, 2010, 08:14:54 PM I do tend to think of topaz 8 (in 2:1 pixel ratio) as "the amiga font". It was the default for so long and I actually do think it looks kinda nice in that ratio. |
