The only thing I'd have to suckerpunch on, really, is regarding the TripOS file header.  See, I've seen that header before, as TripOS has been open source for a number of years now.  Beyond that, a good read as it does go into detail on what they had to do for a revised DOS.library.  Perhaps, if the MOS team were willing, they could post a comparison story, to show how the two teams worked toards the same solution from two different angles.  (One with source, one with specs)
