na, after a quick check on both Canada Post and USPS, Hookers do not appear to be on their banned item list, so it looks totally legal to ship them through the mail.....
LOL

(I know its Atari, but Amiga drives get mentioned here and are similar)

Might want to look into how to repair Amiga floppy drives by replacing caps.

Cheaper to by new drives from Amigakit when all is said and done, but thanks for the suggestion.

Just bookmarked your site.  Any 8 bit stuff?

Keep a watch out, 2 SX 64 's in today's blog and I guess we have 2 pallets stacked 5 feet high of NOS 1541 floppy drives. All NTSC LOL

Indeed. Certainly makes sense to put working drives in right away for these NOS Amigas you are selling.

But I also like the idea of being able to repair floppy drives, including the rare 1.76MB HD Amiga floppy drives.

I think you are mixing up the A4000 Towers (but I could be wrong) from what the BboAh says, is that the Commodore tower had the Floppy Drive:   1 x Internal 1.76MB Floppy Drive.
The AT tower just used:
1 x Internal 880K (Actually a PC 1.44MB drive converted for Amiga use)

In this case, it is a Sony drive, which were notorious in that era for just dying from lack of use. We went though tons of them at my old computer shop, but they were dirt cheap also- I think back in '99 we were paying like $5 each if we ordered them by the case.
AmigaKit is probably doing the exact same modifications at AT was doing to their drives, so they are probably the closest thing to the originals as you will find.

Was it normal for A4000 desktops to come with a HD floppy drive?  Mine has one (which was really handy for copying ADF images from a PC before I got USB).

As far as I can tell from My NOS A4000 desktop, No, it was a option. I have actually only run across 1 or 2 HD floppies over the years on the A4000D.

I just wanted to remind everyone again about the "WIN AN AMIGA" Contest. It has been extended until December 31
http://amigalounge.com/b265.html
Also new stock is being added to the for sale list daily, and a few new blogs have been posted
http://Http://amigalounge.com
The A4000 with the Warp Engine refurbish is 99% complete and the second last blog has been posted:
http://amigalounge.com/b382.html
I still have the 2 A4000's left for sale, one NOS and the other with the Warp Engine! I also put the TekMagic '060 card back up for sale after a lot of people asked. It is priced high, because I am not all that motivated to sell it, unless someone wants to pay the price.

LOL, thanks Steve,
before you all jump to conclusions, the $5000 and soon to be $6000 price is for that ONE and ONLY one tower I have here. That is not the price of the "regular" towers that are down south. I am just trying to take advantage of the "person" who missed putting a deposit down and absolutely, positively has to have the "first" tower available. The regular price of $2,000 and $1,500 for an "open Boxed" unit has not changed.
I am not making a dime off these towers, I am doing it to bring them forward to the community, so they don't end up on Ebay sold to the USA only for some obscene price "untested" and as is.
IF some one was crazy enough to Pay the $5000 for this "first" unit, the money would simply go back into securing 2 more units to be shipped to me and then tested by myself and offered for sale at the "normal" price.
If nobody comes forward and spends that crazy amount of money, it gets shipped off to the first person who put a deposit down for the regular price.

I thought I had made this Crystal clear in my blog post, but I guess I have to do a better job at explaining things.

I have been busy trying to make some changes to the site. I am just posting the 10 "newest" listings on the front page and a complete product list you can print out on it's own page now.
I have a few systems available for Pre order, and I am working on the A4000 Tower right now, so I should have more photos and a blog up on that for later tonight.
I also have a few items on sale to midnight Thursday Oct 2 MST.

It's Saturday, so stop on by and see the changes we have made in the lounge.
My awesome sever guy had built an Android app for me to take a photo with my tablet and it will instantly re size the photo, upload it to the server and build a add for the lounge. I just have to input a description and price. I know that means nothing for you guys, but it means fast turnaround in the future.

I approve of the new photo on your product list page.  :):banana:

LOL, just an experiment, we will be changing that photo all the time. We are making a Booth babe data base, so it will change automatically, but now I have to hunt down photos and change them by hand.
Ultimately, I would like to hire an "official" Amiga lounge Model and have her model each of the items. LOL
