I might be interested. Is it the first XSurf card? I'd like an XSurf2 or XSurf3 (I have an XSurf2 that I could never use. It was damaged at the customs)

If Gulliver is desperate for a network card to join his Amiga to network, I am not interested. After all I may be able to fix my own card.

Thank you for your gesture very much.
And yes, I was desperate :)

@Thread
I already closed the deal with Vlabguy1.

I am getting an ethernet card with some cool addons :)

I guess so. I think XSurf was the last ones ever made.

I never got to use it though :)
When I first bought the card, we were still using dialup in Turkey and the card was faulty anyway (my box was opened by someone at the customs and I saw the card on the floor :( ).  I never managed to fix or send the card for replacement since my 4000T stopped working.

So even in 2003, I was still using dialup on my A4000T. (and then the P8 connector from the PSU wielded itself to the p8 connector of the 4000T and I am still waiting for someone to repair it. Hopefully it will be repaired in one month (I have bought a shotgun and going to meet the person who is going to fix the mainboard in a month)

Well, if you take into account what network cards are available for Zorro only Amigas, you have very few choices:

Ariadne I and II: Good, reliable, well supported by programs, but no longer manufactured since ages. And it is certainly expensive in the 2nd hand market.

Deneb thru usb ethernet dongle: Excellent hardware. The fastest card I ´ve seen. But no longer available and when it is found, it can easily reach more than 200 EURO!

Then you have the other, dfifficult to find ethernet cards. That have slow performance and have various design flaws or outdated network topography schemes.

And finally you have the X-Surf series of cards which offer a nice tradeoff between speed, support and price, and have a few additionals that come very handy (like A1200 clockport, IDE, etc). Are still supported, and can be repaired by their manufacturer, which has proven to be reliable.

I would say that is what makes it simply, a popular choice.

Oh man.. A4000T on dial up brings back memories for me.  This was before 2003 :).  And I was sniping ebay auctions using dial-up.  So much fun, thrilling counting down in my head to time my confirm bid, adding 10secs for the actual  bid to register ha.  To me it was exciting.  I got pretty good at it.. I was sniping auctions before anyone even called it "sniping" lol.

Dang if you only lived closer could fix that in a jiff(that means fast :)... )  Ouch careful what you type hehe..

The card is sold.  If anyone is curious how much it sold for I will let the new owner disclose
that info.  Oh it will be headed to Chile :).

Thanks,
Rich
