Title: EVO, a modern AmigaE compiler
Post by: SamuraiCrow on January 31, 2023, 03:38:58 PM
On the Aminet, there's a new AmigaE derivative for 68k called EVO.  It seems to pick up where CreativE left off.  The code generation is cleaner though.  As a long-time AmigaE aficionado and EEC maintianer (ECX fork), I'd like to know if anybody is still interested in AmigaE as a programming language.  I've racked up a list of improvements that could be made to EEC on 68k and PPC and including the full EVO syntax is one of the goals.  If nobody is going to use it though, why bother?

This is serendipitous as I have been researching E for a few days now and have come up with very little information. I was planning on just running with original E but now it seems I should research more on the later flavors.
