The EPA started talks with GMT Electronics sometime after they bought the building and that may have had something to do with a flood which allegedly damaged whatever equipment Commodore was storing in the basement.  The flood may have concerned the EPA because it would spread whatever contaminates they were trying to remediate.

Other brownfields have to have their dirt removed from the bedrock and incinerated.

The building is not sold but the land is sold and it will be a velodrome.

I wouldnt mind buying shares of the building just to keep it up. Maybe turn it into an old computer museum! Though that will probs never happen. :-( There are buildings near me that i'd rather see demolished rather then this one, it isn't even an ugly building as such.

I don't know when the building will be demolished but I can ask the EPA lawyer because I would want to take a picture of it coming down.

I will have to call Tuesday.

The photo was taken at 6 megapixels but had to be reduced because the message board software here said the picture file being uploaded was too large.

Considering the building is supposed to have been abandoned for almost 10 years, the grass is kind neat and tidy! It's better than my garden!

Did you take any more?
