I guess it is only appropriate to pay Thomas for his work, in what OS 3.1.4 locales say are the appropriate currencies of his country - Deutschmark und Pfennig.

/wiser3 feels himself being dragged in by the trolls...
Thomas is a full grown adult of sound mind. If he decides to work for free he has the right to. Do want others deciding how you have to live your life. I think not. Let him live his.

And that is because you are stupid enough to allow Hyperion to exploit you.

no, he is stupid enough to listen to your bullshit…..

Oh no! CBH has won...
You might want letting him know that you also stopped 3.2 development, he and a couple of others will then, most likely, enjoy Christmas that much more this year!

I suppose you could top that only by convincing Hyperion to pay you. Big bucks of course, the OS3.2 update should then cost at least 159,99 Gold pieces. Probably--and for some, hopefully--nobody will buy it; oh can I sense their happiness!

@thread

Constant deja vu

While I believe it is unfair to put contractors (paid or not) in the position of constantly having to explain why they do what they do,
The above link explains why.
I truly believe that the statements by the court (and lack thereof) contribute highly to the deteriorating condition of the community.
The state of the community is not their concern. The law is.

They have:
(1)stated that Hyperion's status as a company was expected to be settled by end of June. (there was -never- a followup or resolution stated by the court...only by others who claim to know)
(2)stated that settlement of the court cases was likely by end of this year (again with no followup or resolution stated...just conjecture by anyone who could type)

When everyone is forced to divine truth by reading/listening to what happens at Amiga shows as their sole source of information, the inevitable result is the constant arguing about who is in the right here. Directing any ire against any developer for the choices they have made seems quite misdirected.

(apologies for the off-topic)

@CBH

Quote
There is no right or wrong in this world beyond what we decide for ourselves. There is no god or any kind of morality innate to the material universe. This fact is what allows for human conflict. Like all human beings I've decided that what's right is what benefits me personally.

What a piece of work! You upset the developer of OS3.1.4 and OS3.2 and then attempt to refute the existence of God and even the Moral Law and then demonstrated what an ugly uncivilised selfish and self serving world we'd have it we all thought like you! One question:

Is this the outcome you wanted?
Assuming it was, what do you think caused you to become such a callous individual? I guess it's not your fault in your own head as you think you have to act like this to get ahead in a 'survival of the fittest world'?

The fact we have consciences and know inherrently what is wrong or right means your convicted yourself as to what a 'tool' you are acting like.

Apologise to Thomas, take a time out and reassess what IS important in life please. There is of course the adage; "The Best Things in Life are Free."

... maybe Thomas values working on his favourite OS in spite of Hyperion's mean contract terms! That doesn't his work is worthless or that he isn't valued in the community.

I don't need to refute works of fiction. As far as outcomes go the only thing I wanted in this thread is to get ide splitter working and have fun at thomas expense and I won both. I'm only using the internet for what it's best at. Porn and hurting others. If you want to act with a conscience and treat each other kindly best to cancel your ISP contract because you misunderstand what it is you're paying for.

Money is what we use to determine value here on earth. Some people tried to change that once but capitalists invented the CIA in response.

@Thread

We only give this CBH moron weight to his words by responding to them. Ignore him please and then his words will mean nothing. His despicable selfishness and self-centeredness is very obvious indeed.

To let everybody know: I decided to stop advancing this thread.

So sad to see the end of a thread I followed from start everyday and really enjoyed :(

@Thomas Richter and team: Many Thanks to you and all devs and testers for continuing the development and improvemente of the OS. That alone I consider a great thing, but also thanks for taking the time and effort to write and share all those fascinating details about new features, implementation details, etc. I'm sure many of us really enjoyed them. I can only hope that this is just a temporary break and not a complete stop in communication. I have seen so many complaints over the years, that we do not hear anything about progress in development and now... well, I can't say I blame them for being quiet :(

Anyway. Looking forward for 3.2 release, whenever that may be

Regards,
Efrén

I prety sure that is NOT what amiga.org is for. You have chosen wrong forum.

PS. I reported this to mods, because that is not accepted or wanted behavior here.

Why do you bother to say you "reported this to mods"? I don't care. Get back to me when you report it to an assassin or something
