Amiga 4000, PPC, Picasso IV, Concierto for sale
« on: November 20, 2015, 06:03:39 PM »
Hi everyone...

I think it's been about 15 years since I last posted on an Amiga forum. I used to be quite active in the community, and some of you may remember me as the person who made fMSX Amiga - although I now write complex software for the space industry I'll always think of that as my masterpiece, something I've spent 6 years of my life on.

Not only have I not posted since 2000 or so, I've also not used my Amigas since that time. And although my Amigas still work, realistically speaking I'm never going to use them again. Rather than let them sit in my cupboard for the rest of eternity, I'd rather they go to someone who appreciates such machines.

I have, therefore, for sale, the following:

One Amiga 4000, as follows:

- Amiga 4000 motherboard, built into a tower case.
- CyberStorm PCC/68060 CPU board.
- 64MB of fast RAM.
- Picasso IV video card.
- Concierto audio card.
- 2GB SCSI harddisk.
- 2 CD writers.
- 230V/50Hz power supply.
- 3.1 ROMs.

It works: it booted without problems when I started it up again after so many years, and I was able to make one final backup of the harddisk. That proved to be a good choice, because after I rebooted the harddisk made a horrible noise and didn't come back to life. I will include a CD with the harddisk backup, including Workbench, all necessary drivers, some games, demos, tools, etc. The CD writers don't work anymore; I made the backup using RS232. Surprisingly, the floppydrive still works fine.

I will also include:

- Original floppies and CDs. Realistically you cannot expect the floppies to still work. The CDs should be fine. This includes:
  - The OS floppies for Workbench 3.0 - the machine was upgraded to run OS3.1 though.
  - Picasso IV driver disks.
  - CyberStorm PPC driver disks and CD.
  - SAS/C including manuals and original box.
  - Miami.
  - AWeb 2.
  - MakeCD
  - CrossDos.
  - AmigaOS 3.5 developer floppies and CD.
  - Storm C.
  - Complete Aminet CD collection up until set 10.
  - A whole bunch of cover CDs.

- Books:
  - Amiga Programmers Handbook, volumes 1 and 2.
  - Amiga Disk Drives Inside & Out.
  - M68020, M68040, and M68060 assembly.
  - Het Grote Amiga C Boek (Dutch).
  - The Amiga Guru Book.
  - 68000 Programmers Reference Manual.
  - AmigaDOS/AmigaBASIC (Dutch).
  - De Motorola 68000 Familie (Dutch).
  - AmigaDOS User Guide.
  - Workbench 3.0 Users Guide.
  - ARexx User Guide.
  - AGA Supplement Users Guide.
  - Amiga Hard Drive Users Guide.
  - A4000 Users Guide.
  - CyberStorm PPC manual.
  - Picasso IV manual.
  - Concierto manual.
  - RKRM: Libraries (3rd edition).
  - RKRM: Devices (3rd edition).
  - RKRM: Includes & Autodocs (3rd edition).

- Other hardware:
  - Keyboard and mouse.
  - SCSI cables and terminators.
  - The original 68030 card that was replaced by the CyberStorm PPC.
  - Amiga to VGA converter block (not a scan doubler).
  - The original OS3.0 ROMs.

I would prefer to sell all of this in one go.

You can find a few photos of the machine and everything that comes with it, here: https://picasaweb.google.com/108007987178139819927/Amiga There is also a short movie of the machine booting. As an aside, I'm happy to give you the monitor as well, but of course that's a particularly heavy item.

I'm located in the Netherlands (near Amsterdam), but I can ship internationally (using DHL). Total weight is about 45kg.

Are you interested in buying this fantastic machine, and giving it a new lease of life? If so, send me a message and we'll work something out!
