Not directed at anyone in particular, but I love posts where people just start talking about "product such-and-such", with no introduction about what that product is.  A recent thread that comes to mind was some AROS-Linux-hybrid-distro-thing.  "Just updated!" that's great and all, but how 'bout you give us a sentence or two to tell us what it is, first, right?  :lol:

In any case, AFAIK the Romy board increases the ROM address space in A4K from 512K to 1MB, for people who want to burn their own custom 3.9 Kickstart ROM's.  Hope that helps!

No prob!  Sorry, didn't mean to irk anyone, Cosmos makes some top-notch stuff, I swear by several of his patches that I run on my A2000.  Am sure his Romy's are great for folks who need them!

That doesn't mean putting a 1MB soft ROM into something like a ROMy wouldn't be preferable. I don't own a ROM burner but I can softkick something on the command line.

ROMY won't work in a 1200 because they don't have a Fat Gary chip.

Yes, but the point I was making is you don't need a Romy to use the 1MB split ROMs in a 1200. See this guide.
