(USA-Florida-Tampa) All my Amiga 4000 stuff needs to go!
« on: January 11, 2004, 12:41:06 AM »
Fellow Amigans,

[This is not on eBay yet...just straight sale]

Due to an upcoming move I have to reduce my "shtuff".  All my Amiga 4000 stuff must go!  I am still in the process of making a list, but here's a gist of it:

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Location: Tampa, Florida

A4000 desktop with Picasso II graphics card, GVP 4008 SCSI card, 1GB
Fujitsu SCSI drive.  OS 3.1 ROMs & software in box.

*** I'm keeping the boot IDE drive to use with WinUAE ***

Lots of other stuff, I don't remember what else I have.  Prefer a
pickup of all the stuff, but will ship smaller items.

This A4000 has had it's battery replaced with a coin battery.  It may need
additional work, I haven't used it in a year, but it does boot with an OS
floppy.  Sometimes hangs - I have not bothered to investigate, as I really can't spare the time.  It turns out the Picasso II card may be a problem, as without it the system seems to run OK.

No reasonable offer will be ignored...If you can make use of it, make me
an offer.  Prefer to sell as a package, but open to alternatives.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Pictures will be uploaded to my web site soon.

Regards,

Himanshu

I just moved from Tampa, FL about a month ago.

How much you want for it? Does it come with a monitor?

We are in Fort Lauderdale and can possibly drive there if you don't get a decent offer.

-Edit-
By all means consider us only if you don't get any decent offers, because we are resellers who would probably just clean it up and resell it:-)

It's where all the old (Amiga) people go to retire...

BTW, back on topic is it 040 or 030?  How much RAM, etc.
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

Yup...only old-timers use Amigas :)  Anyway, before we digress too much...here is the web page I've set up:

Click for Amiga 4000 + extras sale!

No monitor because the 1084 I have needs to be fixed up...not quite usable.  Since you're in the area anyway, send me an email from my web page, and we can talk.

Thanks!

Hey guys,

I'd say find yourself a friend in Florida who'll ship the stuff to you or hold it for you :)

Sold the GVP SCSI card to an Amiga.org reader...thanks, and keep the offers coming!  System is still for sale.

Just giving others a chance before I gobble it up, I sometimes get accused of having an unfair advantage :-D

Actually another reason is Tampa FL is aprroximately a 4 hour drive away, 8 hour round trip. And with my schedule it would be hard to sneak that in, but we'll see. Maybe I will make an offer.

What the heck. Offer emailed.

OR I'll offer a little more if you'll meet me half way for the transaction. Maybe meet somwhere in between like Fort Myers?

So the movers came in and packed up everything, including my Amiga stuff that was for sale.  I'll have to wait a couple of months before I get access to the remaining goods that are for sale.

Some buyers got good deals for what they wanted.  Thanks to all who offered to buy/pick up the lot, but unfortunately I ran out of time to deal with it...will post again in April.

I'll drive and get it if you want Red.  My car gets better gas than that sportscar you drive.
