Blizzards are for the a1200. ppc cards for the big box amigas are cyberstorms so this is for the a1200 only . :-)

last 240 ppc with 060 on ebay sold for well over 360 pound without the graphics card and the full 256meg memory so it seems ok to me. I have 2 ppc cards 1 in my a1200 tower and one that will soon be fitted with my mediator in power tower.Im not buying anmore classic amigas  now i have lots to keep me busy.

the price is about right i think... your looking at £150 for the PPC card, £60 for the Bvision and £25 for each simm... seems a fair price..

Thing you have to remember is 060 PPC cards dont hit the market that often, and when the do they get swipped up rapidly, if I had the money I would of gone for this card by now... shame I dont :-(

I thought that the worst possible type of a sale in the Amiga world would be getting items which don't work.

This is far worse. :-(

x56h34 and me paid for this board... what a shame to  see and be part of this in the amiga community :-(

Whats also strange is AFAIK, London isn't in Essex (as on the seller's profile on the left of the screen).  :huh:  :-x

I contacted the seller myself. But I was not willing to send him a cheque, so I asked if I could come and collect in person. He said his dad was unwell and that he wasn't at home so I couldn't, he said that when he received the cheque he would send the goods. I decided against.  I even offered my sympathy and wished his father well....

Geez!

@ Dragster and x3454354456

I bid on and paid through PayPal )over 300UKP) for a laptop last year and never received it. I found PayPal themselves to be quite useless, however my credit card company pursued that matter for me once I had provided them with all the correspondence etc. I suggest that you save a copy of the Amibench webpage as well. It took me a while, but the credit card company (and not the seller) refunded my money. I wish you luck with all this, and I'm sorry it has happened. I know the stress involved, and the loss of faith in human nature that results, believe me.

@Cyberus

Thanks for the suggestion. I will keep a copy of the page (a screenshot should do??). I've never experienced this before and I expect paypal to do something about it. I doubt my bank refunds me anything...

I have emails, bad quality photos of the board, but I don't think that's enough proof for the bank..

@ Dragster

Yeah, I suppose a screenshot will be okay. You can also select 'save page' from the File menu of your browser (although I don't know if you can do this with Amiga browsers, I use Firebird). By the way, have you contacted Mark or the Amibench team?

What is important (at least by English law) is to actually have proof that the seller promised to send the goods AFAIK. So an email from the seller saying something like "I will ship the goods when I receive payment" is perfect for this, although I sent my credit card company ALL correspondence when the same thing happened to me last year.

All the best

@Lempkee

Thanks for your support. I hope this issue gets solved soon.. we will keep you posted, and guys, frauds like this are real and happen in the amiga world... take care who you buy from and make sure things you're buying do really exist, try to get as much proof as possible and never, ever send payments to hotmail (or such) emails.  I hope our experience and lose does something good for the whole amiga community.

Dragster

As I said to x34etc, if PayPal can't help you, your credit card company almost certainly will. Its nice to have the big guys in your side - they gave me back 300 pounds for some goods not recveived.

All the best, and good luck!

Who ever he is, remove "Bill the Gates" below and insert name there.....

PS- FYI BLANKET PARTY =  one person is put and held in a blanket orbig sheet while several others beat on him with variuos objects.

He could be anywhere... paypal accounts and hotmail email addresses can be obtained in many countries so... he could be laughing at us in another country already...

Something has just struck me. What if it is all a misunderstanding? Maybe he was waiting on offers from many people, and Dragster and x56h34 paid up, and he has been away, or something tragic has happened, and he hasn't  had the chance to reply and sort things out?
Obviously I'm not trying to defend the guy, but many people have been quick to condemn without knowing the facts....
Do you see where I'm coming from?

Dragster has payed 3 days ago and hasn't received a reply from this guy. I've paid 6 days ago and the guy/girl replied on late Monday saying that the item would be shipped on Tuesday.

@Lempkee

Thanks mate. We don't have the real address of this guy, maybe paypal does. We only have his/her paypal information as xf said before and that's all we know. We don't really know if he's in the UK or any other place. Paypal takes sometime to investigate (30 days), until then we don't know anything... I'd like to believe he's unable to reply emails or whatever, but the fact is that he got money from 2 different persons for the same board, nothing justifies that and it's as simple as he committed fraud! xf told me he emailed yesterday... I've emailing the guy since monday and no reply yet.  So.. he must have seenmy emails and has not bothered to reply... sadly you can register onpaypal with any email account, even hotmail's... :-(

Dragster

When you are dealing with an item this expensive, as a seller you absolutely MUST be on time with replies and everything. I've received prompt replies just until I payed. Afterwards only 1 more e-mail and that was 3 days after my payment. I am 99% sure that this is a fraud.

Or at least try to identify the ISP?

Any ideas??

yucky...

oki i agree with cyberus on this one to some point, but why would he accept the amount 2 times in a row??, paypal doesnt auto GET big payments and the person who get the money has to go and recive it manually (on the website and the move it either to her/his account and then forward it)..

all in all it might just be a mistake by the seller and i wish that this is the case but i have a very bad feeling about this so please understand my "hasty conclusions" ..

anyway good luck on this guys , and to trace an ip , use NETINFO for this..

cheers

So last contact was 8 Jan? I'd give it more time before grabbing the torches. Although a double buyer on the same object reeks (sp?) indeed.

PayPal requires you to submit your complain within 30 days of purchase in order to try and get the money back. After 30 days if you don't complain by then, it's bye bye money. The longer we wait the less likely it is to get the funds back. We did the right thing. Even if there was a mistake on seller's part, this is simply inexcusable to accept both of our payments.

I also put a "bid" for this. It's just as well he didn't bother emailing me back! :-) Seriously, unlucky if people got ripped off like this, it gets very annoying. It's happened to me before. I would never blame Amibench though.
