On a more serious note.

I have no idea what the heck that even is, but is this the same thing??

It's $145.50 from digikey.com

Really like to know what it is as I hope it's more than a wire crimper for such insane prices!   :-o

EDIT:
Found this...

$79.67

Still don't know if it's the same thing.

$500 is a normal price for an official crimp tool like this.

You should be able to find a 'suitable' alternative for $15-$50 here:

Yeah Ive got about 10 different sizes of those at work. They are bad-ass.. do a perfect job every time. Had no idea they were so expensive though. The ones we have are made by packard electrical. They are mostly used for putting pins onto wires for insertion into connectors. They work extremely well.. you can't get a more professional crimp. I'd be wary of the cheap ones.. Because these use a spring/cantilever machanism inside them to put exactly the right amount of force on the crimp and create perfectly uniform results every time. And they are made very well, to last for MANY YEARS of constant use.

You get what you pay for..
