Description: Yet one more phote of Acill's nice A3000 sytem. This is a closer look at the mediator. The black thing at the top of the board is a case slot fan I put in to help with cooling. Not that it needs it!

Just a hint: put the slot fan under the Voodoo to achieve more stability for it.

 That card runs pretty hot!

It looks like that cooler is one of the low speed, thicker-case types.

I've got a slimmer version of one in my A1200T, it doesn't half make a noise, but it shifts loads of air.

I had one of those coolers in my case (PC) - got it really cheaply from Maplin.  Worked fine for a year, but eventually slowed down and stopped (you had to push the fan to start it).  Opened it up and discovered that the friction had worn away the coils on the motor.  Still good value though.

I got it for $10 at Frys. You can order online at outpost.com if interested. They ship world wide. You wont get the nice A3000 with it though!!  ;-)

I think I got mine for around $15 US at BestBuy. I'd assume most computer shops will sell them in a case parts / DIY section
