The A1000 is the only Amiga that loads its kickstart in from floppy at boot-time.

Heh - it took a while to remember that my A500 says 'Work Bench' rather than Kick Start on the floppy :-)

Neither have I :-)   I always just assumed it gave a blank screen and flashed the power light or something - I never knew that they'd squeezed that image into the bootstrap ROM.
