Rob is looking (http://cataclysm.cx/2007/11/11/tastes-like-chicken/) for suggestions on a name for his webkit based browser.

"Bump" sounds OK to me :-D

Robocat ;-)
-
'Browsy The Web Browser' :-)
'Magic Browsing Interface'
In keeping with the ship theme raised in the developer's blog thread, 'Sloop'
With the .library target in mind, 'iLibrary' or some other book-related title. 'iBibliothèque'
-
Warp portal.... If i made it :-P

Actually I like "bump" too :-)

"kitcat", as in (web)kit and the Aros feline. Also a hint of something sweet.
"kitykit" - the sound of a double-click, has "kit" as in webkit, and a feline sound of it (kittycat)
"bowser", rhymes with browser and reminds you of the big boss in Mario64
Yeah, well, don't consider these as serious suggestions :) Just brainstorming while a download finishes.

given that this is just the start of something bigger, I would look for a name that implies that. This way when future better browsers come along, it will be clear that this was intended to be what it is. A way to get modern browsing started on AROS.
As Matt H said "With the .library target in mind, 'iLibrary' or some other book-related title." perhaps something that implies an early reader.
Maybe Seuss. Maybe Spot. (As in See Spot Run)

KittyBrowse
CoreCat
ArosWeb
ArosExplorer

Morse

Best one so far.
Well if the Workbench in AROS is called Wanderer, why not expand on that theme (avoiding calling it Explorer for obvious reasons)? Take your pick...

From that link, I suppose Venturer (or maybe Beachcomber, Wayfarer or Drifter) would be the most fitting. Rover would be good if you're looking for a second animal mascot for the system.

@HenryCase
Get this, there is a "rover" on Mars called "Sojouner".
I say let's be ironic instead of profound. If it all blows up big and famous, a self deprecatingly humorous name would rock so hard.

ABysmal
(Amiga Browser Yet Something Magnificent And Lasting)

Why not call it Miner? :-)
-
Another one:
Glider
EDIT
Just saw someone propose 'Webglider' in robs blog, oops, but hey Glider's nicer, we don't need the web :-D

Nah, not my cup of tea. Having an intentionally silly name like 'Joe Pillow's First Class Flight To Teh Interweb' would be funny for like 5 minutes, I'd rather think long term. Feel free to disagree.
After reading some more of the suggestions on the developer's blog, I'm liking the space themed ones. I'll put my thinking cap back on again.

Aminet?
Oops, taken already....
How about ICame, ISaw, IKickedSomeAss?
ISee?
IView?
IWander?
IWonder?
Yeah, we have Wanderer for local files and IWonder or IWander for internet?
I think IWin....I win, but not IWon (taken)...

I relation to AROS's Wanderer:
* Traveller (also mentioned on th blog reactions)
* Strider (thought of this with my favourite bookgenre in mind - LotR has a Strider (Aragorn), and The Wheel of Time has a character called Jain Farstrider).
-
"meow" as in tiny kittens noise
& "meeeeeoooooow" in speed
small easy to remember and apt.
-
Traveller updates can be foune on Rob's Blog (http://cataclysm.cx/).
