Bodega is a spanish word and it has other meaning and very interesting and important because Bodega is the place where are making the wines or selling, currently in Spain the Bodegas are the place where the wines have their making proccess.  But in Portugal you are different the opposite to Spain.

So it means in Portugal a place without wine & women? S_hit Dude!  Sounds like...

It did, to me, but he NEVER shipped it!

To my way of thinking, this makes MikeD a THIEF!!!!

Moderators, go ahead and edit if you like, but it won't change the truth.

Wow that's a shocker. Harms the Amiga community that's for sure. Not sure why a mod would edit it.

Is he from the US as well?

I remember seeing this on Amiga magazines, but, BODEGA sounds like "BUDEGA", which in Portuguese is a slang for "something with no value at all".

And in spanish it means cellar

Wow thats too bad Curtis, how long ago did you pay him? People get busy, maybe he got side tracked. I know I've sold a couple things and it took me a week or two to get around to shipping it up and shipping it out. People were not happy but work and family stuff comes first...  Hope it works out for you.

Steven

It' been well over a year ago.

I tried phone calls and got nowhere.  People said they'd never heard of him.

Return receipt mail came back unsigned.

Thought about filing charges but with no valid way to track him down I had to chalk it down to lesson learned.

Guy is a total douche.

If he ever dares to show back up here I recommend he be banned for life.

Bodega is spanish means the place where wine is made or the storage departament in a ship or airplane.

Not true, "Bodega" means warehouse. But in this case Bodega is a name of place in Northern California, which gives name to this accessory.

Sorry to hear that Curtis! Sales and dealings with people here are getting stranger and stranger. Have a couple of outstanding offers to purchase at asking prices, never to be heard from again. Different than your scenario where you actually paid, but still. Flakiness abounds!
