YAM..Is anyone else having this problem ......
« on: February 21, 2005, 06:04:49 PM »
The last few days I been having a problem with YAM.
I'm using Ver.2.3 (update patched). I haven't had any
problems until a few days ago.
I talked to my Net provider and we determined the
problem to be Spam with non-standard headers.
When Yam gets one of these it stalls, doesn't know what to
do with it.
My provider set some Spam settings and MAYBE that will
help.
Anyone else having this problem ??
How are you solving it ??

I've had YAMC (pc), spam addresses in it, and it just wouldn't want to send mails. Everything normal, spam contained and it doesn't want to send mail. A tragedy. Left it only to be left with Ultrafunk Popcorn. Can't stand the others, Barca, Pocomail, The Bat. Eudora I can't stand anymore muchless use.

There.

If you're running the PC version, try downloading the latest version. It works, both receiving and sending email.
In my case it does. Salvation..

I'm running the Amiga version. I don't do EMail anymore
on my PC. Since I went back to Yam for EMail I've had
alot less problems with my PC. Spammers are always finding
new ways to screwup the PC.

would it be worth changing from TheBat to YAMC on pc? I've never used much yam on any computer. TheBat has been default email client here for a year and its nice. Still, I plan using Amiga and its YAM, so if YAMC on PC is (very) similar to it would be good reason to use it..
Better sorry than worry.
