3000D 6 Power Flash and 8000000B to Black Screen
« on: March 24, 2020, 03:03:41 PM »
I have a 3000D that never had battery damage that occasionally starts cold but will go to 6 PL flashes and give a 8000000B and eventually go to a black screen.

Tried reseating everything.

Any ideas?

What is output of the CPU command? Is the 68882 recognised?

8000 000B is typical for attempting to run program that rely on FPU on a system that doesn’t have any. The A3000D comes with 68030 CPU and 68882 FPU, so that should not be a problem (unless you have a CPU card installed). Also, make sure Setpatch is in Startup-Sequence.

Hm, reading again, I suspect your A3000 is not booting at all. From what I found, 6 PL blinks (5 short and one long?) is probably RAM error, faulty CIAs (have you tried swapping them?) or broken traces on motherboard.
