« on: April 15, 2015, 02:17:40 PM »
Hi All,

The merge window have been opened this week and it was added a lot of new source code for the future kernel 4.1. Therefore I want to start with testing. I compiled the first alpha today.

New Nemo patch: http://forum.hyperion-entertainment.biz/download/file.php?id=1691

Download alpha1: vmlinux-4.1-alpha1-AMIGA_one_X1000.tar.bz2

New: https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/log/

PLEASE test the alpha1.

Cheers,

Christian

Hi All,

It was added a lot of new patches for the future kernel 4.1 for example for PA6T systems last days.

Link: https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=d28a0d94d752354d9830f8cc0426e9119f9f227d

Therefore I had to create a new Nemo patch for the alpha2 yesterday.

Download: nemo_4.1-2.patch.zip

And here is the alpha2: vmlinux-4.1-alpha2-AMIGA_one_X1000.tar.bz2

Have a nice weekend!

Cheers,

Christian

Many patches for graphics cards were added to the kernel 4.1 source code.

I created the alpha3 with the latest kernel 4.1 git source code today.

Alpha4

New:

https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/log/

It also includes:

 • KVM_BOOK3S_64_PR

Support running guest kernels in virtual machines on processors without using hypervisor mode in the host, by running the guest in user mode (problem state) and emulating all privileged instructions and registers.
This is not as fast as using hypervisor mode, but works on machines where hypervisor mode is not available or not usable, and can emulate processors that are different from the host processor, including emulating 32-bit processors on a 64-bit host.
 • Mac-on-Linux support
 • Network support for AROS hosted
 • Support for 4 serial ports
 • Bluetooth USB dongle support
 • Kernel tracing with ftrace
 • ubuntu MATE 15.04 support
 • Linux kernel icon for OS4.1 by Tommysammy

Download: vmlinux-4.1-alpha4-AMIGA_one_X1000.tar.bz2

Dear Testers,

Linus Torvalds released the first bug fix version of kernel 4.1 yesterday. I cross compiled it for our AMIGA one X1000 today.

ChangeLog-4.1.1

Download: vmlinux-4.1.1-cc-AMIGA_one_X1000.tar.bz2

Could you please test the 3D acceleration with Glxgears and SuperTuxKart?

I would like to thank you very much in advance for testing the first bug fix version of kernel 4.1.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

I am looking forward to getting your reply.

Best regards,

Christian
