Hi there
« on: August 09, 2003, 10:40:08 AM »
Hi there

I am abit of an ex-Amiga fan.
I used to own a 500, 600 and then a 1200. But now theyre gone  :-(

Im trying to get back in to Amiga, as i have a yurning in my heart for some platformer action that i just cant get on the PC through emulators and such.

I need my Superfrog. I need my Dizzy.

So im on a quest to buy an Amiga

But i dont know what to get. Im really, reall wanting to get a CDTV but theyre like hotcakes.
I could just go for a 1200 i suppose, but id like to have cd rom so i can put these Amiga Clasix cds in that i got..and finding one iwth CD rom or getting an extra cdrom is also a tough call.

And sadly i cannot use eBay as i disabled my account and cant re-enable it again.

Anyway.

Hi all.

I reckon an A1200 with PCMCIA CD-ROM would fit the bill, and 030 or 040 in the trapdoor and 32MB FAST RAM..

Just my pennys worth...

@Marc17

Hi and welcome to A.org :-D

What do you want to do with your Amiga?  I'd recommend an AGA machine, as it will run more software and should be more expandable.
