A2000 network cards
« on: November 01, 2002, 08:40:39 PM »
Question for everyone out there, I am getting my A2000 back online, and want to connect it to my other win clones, we have a 10/100 network setup.

Did anyone come out with an Amiga network card capable of handling 10/100?
If so are there any available?

Thanks everyone in advance;
Chuck :-)

A2000? 10Mb/s - YES, 100Mb - NO

10Mb new would be X-Surf from many supplies new like Software Hut. They arent cheap, run about $120USD but also include IDE and clockport interfaces.

10Mb used there are alot of second hand options like the Commodore A2065, watch ebay.

If you had a newer Amiga than a A2000, then you COULD get a off the shelf 10/100Mb PCI ethernet card. If you had a A1200, A3000 or A4000 you could buy a Mediator PCI exansion and then buy one of the supported 10/100 cards off the shelf.
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

yep, But not for the Amiga 2000,
Just for 32 Bit Amiga`s (Which can handle the extra speed)..
Its a PCI card (So if you have a 32bit Amiga you would need to add a PCI bus board.

There are lots of 10base cards though, Lots..
