Bullfrog for Populous, Geoff Crammond for Stunt Track Racer etc..., Cinemaware for Wings,  and whoever did super stardust, and oh yeah I gotta mention Breathless, luv'd it

man just mentioning this stuff makes me want to go home and play some of my old Amiga Games

Electronic Arts for Powerdrome and (I think they did Indianapolis 500) I always thought indy 500 was very impressive

EA might have been a distributor on Indianapolis 500, but it was the first of a very long chain of severely excellent driving simulations written by Papyrus Software.   A developer I miss greatly.  (Though some of the team and source code lives on with First and iRacing.)

Anyhow, again, +1 to Bullfrog, Team 17, Psygnosis, Geoff Crammond, and Digital Illusions.  All legendary status on Amiga.

Sid Meyer... Colonization, love that game.

Also Dune and Dune II actually Dune II inspired me to read the books, watchs the movies, get the comic... I played Dune II so much, that I at one point could complete the game in about 7 hours, no matter what "race"

Bill Budge (Pinball construction set), Tony Suzuki (Star Blazer), John Romero, Richard Garriot and Jordan Mechner.  I guess I really like all the original one man band game programmers.

Specifically for the Amiga, I'd have to say I had a lot of respect for the Bitmap Brothers.

James Conwell (Total Chaos).  I arrived late on the Amiga scene and well, uh, he's still with us while the others sought greener pastures elsewhere.

I'm not sure they count as they might not be exclsuvly Amiga but mine were Peter Molyneux, Ian Bell (for Elite but I don't know if he actually did anything for the Amiga version) and of course who could forget David Braben - just reading his interviews with his really epic ideas for space games was facsinating to me.

Sid Meire too must be mentinioned again (I see he has already) for what he's done for gaming right through to this day, just looked at his list of games he's worked on - amazing!
