Amiga Audio / Music Topic ?

I've returned to my people. More Powerful Than Ever! Umm, Wyane, could we have an Amiga audio / music main topic on the system?

It would be for trackers, midi, DJ dookey pants, whatever; so that new and old music makers could 'shout out' about their projects, get help and collaborate on new stuff over the site?

Whatcha think? Could be cool...

As a person that can play two records at the same time, I find that highly offensive!

Well never mind Wyane. We'll make our own forum and rule our own universe. Whatever you do, don't like respond or support your "community". You're far too advanced for our silly toils.

Know, three happy super beings who called out into the darkness in want of there own topic will now move on from this place. There will be no music at amiga.org, that is clear now.

LOL, it was great we missed you. Well I'm already a "crack pot" for using an Amiga so that's not far off. I just do stuff to amuse myself.

But the sober idea was to have a topic heading for things audio and music making, music equipment and so on. I know a few of us would use it?

I want to spitt out my midi&mod-files on the net anyway!

(Although I do not have any powerful mod ready {yet} :lol: )

But will Amiga.org alowe us music freaks to make a special topic or any branche here on the side to upload or link to our music?

I like to play and make music with octamed.
(I rather call it an addiction or 'this is what I only know':getmad:  :oops:)

Uploading a file, downloadable thrue the A-O and let the world enjoy the sound of Amiga!

I am. I'm always quite curious to what kind of music other people make. I've downloaded and listened to almost every soundfile from Aminet during over a decade but still I'm eager to listen to new stuff.

Maybe there can be an area to upload musicfiles, in somewhat the same way as the photoalbum?

I'm more than happy to create an Audio / Music forum.  Just give me a short description (like on the rest) so I'll know what to say.

The one thing I can't currently do is a download area (bandwidth, storage, virus, and copyright issues) but linking AFAICT would be fine.

May be bit broad at first, but who knows?

Retro/chip tunes are a hot subject in the music world right now. Maybe we'll start something? :-D

So, what differentiates that from "Software Discussions" that already exists?  See?  While I'm fine with adding it, I don't want to end up with "Hey, I want a video forum! Me too, I want a C+ forum, hey, me too, I want a forum for xyz!"...

My problem is that you guys don't bother reading the forum names now, as witnessed by the fact that I had to move 10+ threads out of the "Amiga.org Announcements" forum this morning..  

I guess the question I need answered, before I do this (and I have no problems doing it) is.... "What makes this a good idea"?

I guess what makes it a "good" idea is that Amiga is well known for having a lot of audio zealots.

Yes I used that word people. Since people already say that a lot of people are stuck in the Church of Amiga, I might as well be straight forward. Most of you can't deny there are a huge amount of audio elitists that brag about there skill in mod making and other feats of sound manipulation on lil 68k machine.
