Any Delfina users out there?
« on: November 22, 2002, 09:27:54 PM »
I've finally got my mig on the net so I'm typing this through Voyager
& Miami and not a PC! Anyhow anyone got a Delfina card of any
description. I've read about the relatively new Flipper from
Individual and am considering towering and Zorroing up my 1200 to get
one working with it. Mainly because I'm interested in coding for a
proper DSP like the 5600x. Opinions (biased and objective) greatly
appreciated....

I had(past tense) a Delfina Lite until recently. It is a good card and AFAIK the only one with a working DSP. As for MP3 playback it is very good and works as advertied, MP3 playback with virtually 0% CPU load. The only short comming is it is slightly tricky to get it setup, but not too bad and the latest driver gives a "fake" crash window when playing mp3s.

If you can get one cheap, go for it.
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

I would love to get my hands on one of those Delfina Flipper Edition sound cards, too.  Especially since the motherboard sound on my A4000T is dead.  Being somewhat pesimistic, I don't know if that card is going to see the light of day.  Hope it does.

Hi,

I would love to get my hands on one of those Delfina Flipper Edition sound cards, too.

And me, I want one too.
I would love to go to the German Amiga show as he is going to be there with all the new cards on display.

I e-mailed him when the other card was announced (The PCI/Zorro card) and he said it may be on sale at the show!

Heres the e-mail:

I've used the Flipper interface on a I'll do my best, but as you can see, I've used the Flipper interface on a
more promising product first. A lot of work here until the show in
december, and the Delfina is definately something I want to sell there!

I didn't realise it hasn't been offered for sale yet.
Here's hoping it sees the light of day. I have to
say I am very pleased with the Silversurfer product
that Individual make, and for this reason have faith
in his company.

Thanks for your replys.
