CD32 Emulation In Winuae
« on: November 24, 2014, 02:47:31 AM »
Just wondering if anyone can tell me how "complete" cd32's emulation is in Winuae?
Obviously the AGA side is pretty well covered, but what about things like akiko, fmv, and so on?

I know the cd32 wasn't quite what it could/should have been, but Ive always liked the idea of making a homebrew software based upgraded cd32 (I don't have skills in fpga programming, so stripped back os booting straight into winuae, blahblahblah with fast ram and faster cpu is as close as I'll ever get).
Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.

I'm pretty sure Akiko emulation is in the code.  I saw some discussions a few years ago on one of the forums about optimization of Akiko code.

I'm pretty sure FMV is now working in the latest 2.9.0 betas.  Supposedly, you can now watch game intros if you are using CD32 ISOs.
