Hi again- the saga continues:
I'm trying to put a larger hard-drive in my a600... standard 3.5" 850meg drive... a600 has mini to regular IDE fittings... hardware fine.
Using WinUAE to format the new drive and then transfer contents from old drive is not working as expected.
Emulating A1200, 3.1 roms, workbench 3.0... WinDh_d (new drive) recognised... format attempt from Workbench results in the antclimax of:
"No disk in drive" message.... is it treating it like a floppy disk??
How can I format this harddrive to the Amiga filesystem (for my 2.1rom a600) using Winuae?
I don't have the Workbench disks with this machine- only what is installed on the current 120meg hdd.
