Just upgraded to Amiga forever 5.1
« on: January 09, 2003, 04:17:42 AM »
This is great!

Even on my old hunk of junk k6-2 500 with Via chips and integrated everything is like using a real Amiga. For some reason version 5.0 didn't run well. seemed to be less responsive. 5.1 has hung a couple times but probably my crapy PeeeeeCeeeee.

Anyone using an ASUS P4B-533 MB? I am thinking of upgrading to that. For this box I would get the VM version and for my other box the ATX version. I want to get by as cheap as possible. Don't want to spend all the Amiga seed money on this stuff.

If Amiga would come out with the goods...... I wouldn't have to ask these fricken PEEEECEEEE questions.

I don't understand why you bought that package, isn't it just WinUAE with the ROMS and some software included?

Its a bit more than that - it includes AmigaExplorer which is an easy PC/Amiga networking tool, amongst other things.

If you dont want to spend money or dont need the extra gubbins, you could do worse than check out Amiga In A Box - Note you'll need an AmigaOS 3.1 ROM and workbench disk.
Cheers,
